Oh, Animal Crossing… You think I had forgotten about you in all the chaos that my life has consisted of these past few months? Well, obviously I have because there hasn’t been any of these “AC:CF Hullabaloo” articles in a while. A few days ago, my evil nemesis, Kit, informed me that she intended to destroy my neighborhood armed with only a shovel and several pitfalls along with an entire armada of cockroaches. Goodness gracious! I had to make preparations for the incoming assault. Firstly, buy assembling the troops…

Resulting from my long absence, the enemy forces have already managed to breach my house’s defenses! They were dealt with swiftly. My shoes proved to be quite effective against the dastardly crawling menace. Their intentions revolved around silencing my armies located downstairs. With no time to spare, I made my way through the hordes of monstrous insects. Quickly, to the basement!

In a fit of chaos and panic, the remaining aquatic species (yes, that’s right, my army is a group of paraphyletic organisms) relayed to me their fierce battle fending off the malicious roaches invading the household. “Don’t worry, you’re gonna make it through this! Just hold on!”… “Glub”. Fortunately, they only suffered minor injuries such as the glass on their fish tanks being scratched. The scoundrels! “That does it! Looks like I’ll have to confront the heart of the culprits organization myself!”.

Upon exit, I checked to see if any provisions had arrived to aid in my attempts to thwart Kit’s forces. Clearly, this letter from my mother was double-encrypted with the most advanced of special agent communication methods. I quickly hid the message for later as translating it would take years of practice in the field. Suspensions grew as one particular resident of my town spotted me trying to shove the letter into one of the nearby cherry trees…

Apparently, my absence has caused inquiries to arise. Filbert has always had a keen eye for detail. HOWEVER, HE HAS MADE THE MISTAKE OF STANDING IN BETWEEN MYSELF AND MY MISSION. The answer to any Animal Crossing dilemma is holes. After imprisoning Filbert for questioning later, I raced to the town’s gates.

When the perfect opportunity arrived, I trapped her by digging an impenetrable hole force field around her. Immediately as Kit noticed me, she summoned a bunny balloon that transported her en route to my household where she planned to rescue her double agent comrade, Filbert! After reaching him, Kit remembered how annoying his company is and decided to leave him there in favor of simply calling a truce. THEN THE GRAND HOUR OF DERPAGE BEGAN…

The key to fishing in Animal Crossing is to place the bait within the fish’s field of view. If they cannot see the bait, they will not go after it.

THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A FEW TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES WITH THE WIFI CONNECTION.

Currently, I am working on a few commissions to raise money so that I can afford to purchase a new laptop (preferably a Dell XPS 16). The laptop I’m using at the moment has loyally served me efficiently for 3 years but now it’s nearly unusable. Firstly, the battery on my HP G60 began to only charge partially meaning that, after being unplugged, it would shut down after a minute or so. This lead to me constantly using the AC adapter and resulted in enough heating of my laptop to cause the cord to melt (not even joking). Replaced it with another $70 AC adapter but the battery issue only worsened to the point where it doesn’t charge at all. For several months now, I’ve been unable to unplug my laptop as it’ll immediately die. The computers’ heating issue continues causing the top of the keyboard bezel to begin lifting upwards. In summary, my current laptop is dying (if the title of this article didn’t allude to that).

When Christmas snuck-up on me and my wallet still opened with nothing but a poof of dust, my only notion was to create something by hand to give to others as gifts. First, I thought of drawing or painting things but then quickly found that to be too simple. So instead, I remembered how much I enjoyed sewing things. Dolls and whatnot. Several years back, I sewed two plush dolls (my own characters) which turned-out rather horribly. Yet I still grew increasingly fond of the medium by the completion of both. Oh, the blood I shed from pricking my fingers…

After deciding that I would sew gifts for others, I quickly went to work: Borrowed my grandmothers’ sewing kit, searched through bins of various cloths and fabrics, sacrificed two of my old shirts for use as fabric, and set up shop. By the end of my sewing fiesta, I had several plush dolls completed and ready for packaging (Technically, I finished them all ON Christmas day) and so many small pieces of fabric laying around that I could have used them as confetti to celebrate the completion of these gifts. Unfortunately, I was short on time and only finished one doll for someone outside my family (the Katz doll). They were sewn in this order; Katz doll, musical note, “X ALL THE Y” meme plush, Football, and wood duck doll. The photograph below was taken before the whiskers where in place. Actually, only after taking this photo I had noticed that the whiskers were missing.
